G & S (Cossey) are the contracted distributors for the governments School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme.
The areas we distribute to are; Somerset, Dorset, Devon and Torbay in the South West of England.

The School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme is a government programme that entitles every child aged four to six in LEA-maintained schools to a free piece of fruit or vegetable each school day.

The scheme has been introduced to establish healthy eating patterns in early childhood, as growing evidence suggests that eating at least five portions of fruit and vegetables a day can help protect against chronic diseases such as heart disease and certain cancers.
